Women in Leadership Deep Dive Sponsor

Last fall, Argentum launched a Women’s Leadership Initiative designed to recognize the numerous achievements of women in senior living. During the 2019 Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference, the group will host a series of deep dive sessions in order to highlight those accomplishments and address the concerns of women seeking leadership roles.

“The Women in Leadership deep dive series will allow women in our industry to learn from top women leaders, both inside and outside of our industry, what makes a good leader from the female perspective,” said Collette Gray, CEO & COO of Integral Senior Living.

Inside the industry, Argentum’s research shows that women have made great strides. Just as the majority of residents at senior living communities are women, the workforce is predominantly made up of women, with four out of five employees in the industry being female. In addition, women hold 70 percent of the management jobs in the field. However, despite these achievements, there is still a need to cultivate female leadership within the industry in order to mold the next generation of managers.

The Women in Leadership deep dive sessions will provide a great opportunity for women to connect with each other and learn from the experiences of their peers, as well as women who face similar challenges in other industries. During the event, there will be a focus on the following topics:

These sessions are just a part of the empowering experience attendees can expect to have at the Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference this year. Other programs at the event include the Executive Director Leadership Institute and the Insights from the C-Suite Panel, all of which will have information that attendees can use in their work when they get back home.

“Argentum distinguishes itself for its content, and so it is a tremendous learning opportunity for the people who attend. It provides an opportunity for team leaders to come in and gain better tools and have access to good information,” said Mercedes Kerr, EVP of business & relationship management at Welltower, sponsor of the Women in Leadership deep dive series.  “I would encourage people who are there to really take advantage of those learning opportunities.”
