Argentum Announces Partnership with HMP Global on Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo

The new collaboration will allow Argentum to continue to focus on advocacy and policy priorities among other industry initiatives.

(Alexandria, Va.) – Today at the 2021 Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo in Phoenix, Ariz., Argentum will announce that it has formed a multi-year partnership with HMP Global, an omnichannel leader in healthcare events and education. Through this partnership, HMP Global will acquire the annual conference and manage its operations, while Argentum will continue to lead the event’s program development and educational content.

“We are thrilled to share the news of this new and ongoing partnership with HMP Global,” said James Balda, Argentum President & CEO. “We believe the organization will support the tremendous growth potential for this event, while Argentum will continue to develop the event content and programming that is most beneficial to the industry’s leaders and professionals. This collaboration will provide us the ability to focus on industry priorities that bring added value to our members and to the industry all year, including our continued attention on critical advocacy and policy work.”

With the growing attention on the senior living industry at the federal level and burgeoning issues related to the need for a more robust senior care workforce and forthcoming debates on long-term care financing and delivery, Argentum’s pivot to focusing on critical policy initiatives is timely and essential to supporting the needs of the industry.

“This partnership with HMP Global will offer Argentum the flexibility to continue strengthening its advocacy programs through building relationships with policymakers and educating decision-makers on Capitol Hill and in state capitals on the senior living industry’s needs,” said Pat Mulloy, Argentum Board of Directors chairman.

Argentum will also continue its development of programs and resources to benefit those who live and work in senior living through its quality improvement, training and certification, and workforce initiatives.

We look forward to the long-term partnership with Argentum – an organization with a strong presence in the senior living space,” said Jeff HennessyHMP Global chairman and CEO. “We will combine our collective strengths and broaden the meeting’s reach to accelerate growth, with a continued focus on ensuring senior living professionals are equipped to provide the highest quality care and support to senior living residents and their families.”

The annual conference will remain the official meeting of Argentum, which attracts thousands of attendees from senior living providers, real estate investment trusts (REITs), private equity partners, capital providers, industry supplies, media, and academia. The 2022 Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo is planned for May 16-18 in Minneapolis, Minn.
