Important EventSafe Update: Argentum Conference to Require Verified COVID-19 Vaccination

Having closely followed the latest official guidance and information related to COVID-19 and the Delta variant, and in consideration of the health and safety of those who will be attending the 2021 Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo, September 13-15 in Phoenix, we will now be requiring all registered attendees to verify or present proof of COVID-19 vaccination through a HIPAA-compliant process online.

Please send further questions or concerns to registration@argentum.org.

What You Can Expect

Argentum has committed to instituting a variety of measures aimed at protecting your health and safety at the 2021 Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo in Phoenix. We will enact a number of health safety procedures utilizing multiple mitigation factors, including:

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to attend the conference

Masking is required unless actively eating/drinking in the Phoenix Convention Center.

Wellness screenings are being conducted by Accushield at Phoenix Convention Center entrances.

Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the meeting space.
Some hand sanitizer stations brought to you by.

Overnight sanitization misting is being conducted in the Expo Hall.

The Phoenix Convention Center has implemented a number of health and safety solutions, including:

  • Global BioRisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR™ Facility Accreditation
  • Upgraded ventilation and airflow
  • Upgraded cleaning and sanitizing practices and training
  • Staff masking and temperature screening
  • Incentive for staff to get vaccinations

Specific event details around these measures will be communicated to all attendees, exhibitors, vendors, and speakers. In addition, there will be onsite signage encouraging all participants to abide by any established measures out of respect for the industry, colleagues, and the residents our attendees serve.

Argentum is scheduling all open and official attendee events at either the convention center or a headquarter hotel to better control environments. All staff working with Freeman, the Phoenix Convention Center, and CompuSystems, and other vendors supporting onsite operations, are required to wear masks covering the mouth and nose while onsite at the event.

Data for an Informed Decision*

  • Recent data shows it is safer to attend a business conference than visit the grocery store.
  • HIMSS had a .017% infection rate, or 3 in 17,500 attendees, far below the infection rate for the general population, which is at .293% (as of August 18). Argentum attendance is expected to be 10% of this and like HIMSS, Argentum will require vaccination and masking.
  • In-person business events have higher vaccination rates than general group gatherings, with healthcare/medical conferences showing a 98% vaccination rate across shows studied.
  • Current conference data doesn’t support any trend that a vaccinated event is affected differently due to the host city's level of vaccination.
  • Vaccination and masking has shown to reduce risk 8x or more, and it is likely much higher when you do both.
