The impact of COVID-19 will be far-reaching, and nowhere will it be more visible than in the design of future senior living communities. Senior living design may now feature the ability to cordon off sections of a campus or building, solutions for easier social distancing, and separate mechanical and air conditioning/heating systems to localize ventilation. Secure fresh-air courtyards, staff accommodations, and dining concepts such as quick-serve venues and flexible configurations may become more important in future designs. This panel of designers and owner/operator development leads will discuss what you need to consider in your new builds and renovations projects in the aftermath of COVID-19.
