Marijuana for medicinal use is legal in 29 states and the District of Columbia – however, on a federal level marijuana is illegal, and is listed as a Schedule 1 controlled substance by the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration. Such federal preemptive and state exception issues make this an operational problem for senior living.
